Hand tinted monoprint. Paper size 11X15. Image area size 8X10. I was going to post these yesterday, but as some of you may know, we were out of electricity for a day! Something blew up and caught fire at the city's power plant. Can you imagine? I stayed home working on some block prints that I've had in my head for years that were waiting for a the right moment to give birth. I can't wait to share.

Fluer De Lis in a bedroom

I've been waiting for an opportunity to use this gold and chocolate bedroom. The perfect accent!

Fluer De Lis - BOTH SOLD

Fluer De Lis I - One of a kind, hand water colored print on 100% cotton paper. paper size 11X15. Image size 8X10. One of a kind, hand water colored print on 100% cotton paper. paper size 11X15. Image size 8X10. While organizing in preparation for the (fingers crossed) big move I came across some -one of a kind- hand watercolored monoprints. I decided I should start posting them. I thought this might be a good fundraising idea to build my new pottery studio at the (knocking on wood) new digs. There are only these two fluer de lis left, though I may print more at a later date. These are one of a kind in that the ink is applied by hand in different colors during the printing process and then meticulous watercoloring done over the top of that.

Laurie's Fireplace Tiles

I think we finally finished Laurie's fireplace tiles. They are beautiful! and of course look so much richer in real life. She finally had to take a trip to Mom's add sift through the details of the project to figure out what just wasn't sitting right with the whole thing. Some of the tiles went through five firings to get the colors right. Only for my sista!

Some more green anchor tiles for Laurie's fireplace. I've also been playing around with glass on tiles for a bathroom for myself someday! Here's a leftover fish from the kitchen series done up with glass splatters. and then some of the glass field tile surrounding.

Anchor Tiles for Laurie's Fireplace

I've been working real hard trying to get Laurie's fireplace finished. We bought some expensive commercial glazes to ease the process in hopes that we would get exactly what we wanted on the first try. No such luck. All the greens we bought turned out brown. So, now I am in the process of refiring in order to get some siblance of green. I was so happy when I opened the kiln to see something that looked green. Then I refired a second batch with green glass hoping to get green. Well, it's the most gorgeous turquoise blue you ever saw. If she doesn't use them, I will! Enjoy.
