Blue Crab - SOLD

15X11 watercolor on cotton paper. Painted a crab from the crab boil before he's cooked and turned red.

Lost Longhorn - $150.00

15X11 watercolor on cotton paper. There was one lost longhorn amongst the crowd. Reminded me of Texas.

Avoca Island Cows $150.00

15X11 watercolor on cotton paper. Took a crazy, spur of the moment trip across the ferry to Avoca Island to see what we could find. Haven't been there since my childhood. Not much there but a bunch of cows.

Brady - $100.00

11X15 watercolor on cotton paper. The incredible, amazing, beautiful Brady! (He's my nephew, I'm a little bias) These two did such a great job of sitting still for me.

Nicholas - $100.00

11X15 watercolor on cotton paper. Sketched a couple of the kids at one of the Rhythm events. This is Brady's friend.

Heidi and Banksy - $100.00

11X15 watercolor on cotton paper. Spent a spontaneous afternoon in New Orleans with the wonderful Heidi, who's studio is in the new Studio at Colton. If you're in New Orleans you've got to stop and check out how these artists in many areas of study have taken over this charming old school and converted it to basically an art school. They are dedicated to bringing art to the ninth ward. Incredible!

Christine - SOLD

And now for paintings! I've been painting, but not posting... so you will get a little bombarded today, and over the next couple of days. This is "Christine" - 11X15 watercolor on cotton paper. She was painted while we visited at lunch.... on May 1st. (time is slipping away from me)

Students and Me

A great photo of some of my students and me at the show. Next time I want a photo with them all! Thank you everyone who sent in photos. Thank you Arlette for the ones I am using today.

lady with the fleur de li dress - SOLD

I only showed this one piece in the student show. (as I have a showroom featuring the rest of my work) I worked all week on a series of clay jewelry and featured this turquiose piece on the finally finished bust of the lady with the fleur de li dress on. She came out kind of cool. I love her! and have since created another bust... perhaps to be finished for the next show.

Student Sidewalk Show

Onlooker at the Student Art Show and live music street event.

Student Pitchers

Well. It's been awhile. The studio was crazy busy preparing for the student show and Rhythm on the River, which will be going on for another three weeks. You are welcome to stop by the studio on these friday nights for a refreshment and live music. The pitchers in the photo are pieces done by first time students! and there very first pieces! I am expecting more from the students, and finding that they are meeting the challenge. I am a proud teacher. The next student show/live music event will be held at the last Rhythm on the River on May 29th. It is loads of fun, so please stop by.
