it was awhile ago
we had some great walks
and years later
made up time with talks

today was a sad day
i cried and cried
today i had to
say goodbye

life with pain
to much to bare
did you know
how much we cared?

i guess it was
your time to go
though
i didn't think so

if you can hear me
as i sit and pray
you know in my heart
you will always stay
