Pediatrics Clinic Murals

Quick snapshots of the work done at the pediatrics clinic in my hometown. The flower boxes should be filled with large gerba daisies... still looking for them. I painted the four murals on either side of the windows. Brother, Neal did all the wonderful craftsmanship with all the 3-dimensional work and painting of them.

Below you will find details of some of the images on the mural. I've painted big paintings before, but never in this time restraint. I've gotten compliment after compliment on the free usage of paint strokes. Hope these happy creatures make a child filled with joy when they walk in, perhaps not feeling so good.

Got a wall you want painted? Give me a call!

Winter Classes at Studio Shannon

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Everyone! Please find attached the winter schedule of classes starting January 11th, 2010. I'm sorry about the delay in classes for January, but excited that I'll be going to a wood firing in Gatlenburg, Tennessee. What a way to start the New Year! Please forward the schedule of classes to anyone you think might be interested. Keep in mind that the pottery classes are filling up fast! and if you can get together four people I am open to starting another class. Anything you been really wanting to get your hands into? Keep you eyes open for a used slide projector as I would like to start showing slides of students work and the works of the masters as part of the class program. And remember... Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. (Picasso)

watercolor on cotton paper. This one is still rather wet! I just did it before the sun went down. Wonderful sky this afternoon.
