20" X 20" Acrylic on Canvas. Seems I am just missing the strokes of oil or acrylic on canvas. I'm working a series of acrylic flowers to sort of warm up to using acrylic. And, I believe after these four flowers my imagery may change. I am working in my sketch book to see where this is taking me.

22.5" X 22.5" Mixed Medium on 100% cotton paper. ok. I know you're wondering... why the world needs 2 Clovers in a Square?? The truth is I was doing an experiment... and this clover was to have NO Black what-so-ever on it. And I took a really long time and painted everything so beautifully... and well... it just didn't feel right. It just didn't have that Pizzaz that I like so much about what I'm doing. I HAD TO add black. I do like how it came out! But, I'm not sure I like one over the other...

Boganvilla In A Square - $200.00

22.5X22.5" Mixed medium on 100% cotton paper. I'll be posting two paintings today and then again on Monday. This will free me from coming into the studio on this Easter Sunday weekend. I was thinking of perhaps only posting during the work week, but I am really pushing to have 365 paintings posted by the end of one year. The next few paintings were inspired right from my own back yard. AND... I like posting right from my blogger, because the paintings seem to fit better. It was another great day in New Orleans for the By Water Art Market. The wind was blowing and paintings were flying (literally)...that aside, we had a fantastic time. I'll be posting new Mardi Gras images this week along with whatever else inspires me. and... Yes! I just love painting these flowers in a square. I think they would look fantastic on a wall with three or four together. I will work late tonight painting more Mardi Gras images for the New Orleans By Water Market... which is tomorrow!

I will be posting this pair of fish today and taking a breather from the studio tomorrow. Yesterday we went over the 1000 marker for veiws of my paintings. Very exciting! The voting is over for the week with flowers coming in first place followed by birds and then Mardi Gras. I do have four more One Stem flowers sketched out that will be coming soon... and two more lil fish. By the way... One Stem 1 has edged it's way up to third place! and has been spoken for! and... in the next couple weeks, I will be doing some more Mardi Gras people. Hope you all are having a great weekend... the weather is spectacular!!
